Our History
The Whitefield School was named after the 18th Century Christian, George Whitefield, whose passion for children led him to open the Besthesda Home for Boys in Savannah, GA in 1740. The Whitefield School was established in 1994 as an outreach of Golden Isles Presbyterian Church on St. Simons Island. In the spring of 2007, The Whitefield School transitioned to become an independent Christian School in Glynn County.
